Origem Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in 1998. Leonardo Machado started teaching in 2004. He has continued to fly the flag for Origem running the academy with his father in Rio de Janeiro Brazil and now in Sydney Australia.

Leonardo is a third degree black belt graduated by his father and master Coral Belt Grandmaster Guilherme Doria Machado. Guilherme received his black belt from the hands of the Legend Grandmaster Helio Gracie, creator with his older brother Carlos Gracie of brazilian jiu-Jitsu dynasty.

Our school is a clean, state of the art facility located in central Wollongong only a 5 minutes walk from Wollongong Central & Crown Street Mall. A purpose-built facility that is clean, safe, and well-lit so you can get the most out of your training.
