Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Classes
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the official hand-to-hand self defense combat system of the United States Military and law enforcement agencies all around the world. Founded on easy and instinctive movements, this reality-based self defense method was designed so that the practitioner can learn practical self defense in the shortest possible time.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu adults classes incorporate all levels from 14 years old and above. At Chave de Ouro Jiu-Jitsu Canberra the classes usually consists of a 20 minute warm up, half an hour technique and ‘drills’ (practicing techniques with increased intensity) and 20 minutes of ‘rolling’ (realistically competing for submission).

All classes are supervised by a qualified instructor. No aggressive or unsportsmanlike behavior is tolerated, a friendly environment is maintained throughout the session.

What to do?
If you can, let us know you are coming. Please complete the form or simply show up at the dojo 10 to 15 minutes prior to the Jiu-Jitsu introduction class. Wear a t-shirt and shorts or general gym wear. We have cleanly washed Jiu-Jitsu Gi’s available for you to borrow.
